Biography
About Me
I graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. During my time at Cortland, I participated in various clubs and intramurals. I also volunteered as a football coach at my alma mater, Clarkstown North High School. Upon graduation in 2017, I was hired as a K-5 Physical Education Teacher, as well as a coach for football, basketball, and lacrosse in Clarkstown Central School District. Following my first year, I accepted a new position with the North Rockland Central School District at Haverstraw Elementary School, a 4th-6th grade building. In my third year, I decided to continue my education. I graduated from SUNY Brockport with a Master's degree in Health Education in 2021.
I am currently teaching and coaching at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Health Education Teaching Philosophy

The philosophy will relate to Health Education Teacher Education Standard 4: Assessment. Within this philosophy, you can find my beliefs and values in regard to being a health educator. This will go beyond the classroom, and really get to know the students as individuals. There will be observations to collect data, in order to determine the needs of each student.

Within the philosophy, you can find my beliefs and values in regards to being a great physical education teacher. The philosophy will relate to Health Education Teacher Education Standard 3: Implementation. Teaching goes beyond the classroom and this philosophy stresses the importance of lifelong physical activity. This will be achieved through goal oriented implementation, monitoring, and assessment.
